Feral Pigeon

Also called Lon­don pigeons, and des­cen­ded from wild Rock Doves which were ori­gin­ally taken into cap­tiv­ity as winter food and more recently as hom­ing pigeons. Some have been reared to have exotic plumage, and a vari­ety of col­ours are to be found in parks and any­where else food is avail­able. Breeds through­out the year in crevices in buildings.
